Violence at Howe Community Park Injures Multiple Gunshot Victims in the Arden-Arcade Section of Sacramento County

Officials in Sacramento County are working a gunfire incident that occurred on April 18 2026 at Howe Park in Sacramento just as authorities were dispersing an unsanctioned gathering of an estimated several hundred individuals.

Background

Sacramento County law enforcement were first dispatched to the Arden-Arcade park at approximately 6:30 Saturday evening after learning of persons possibly in possession of concealed weapons. After that, a second call came in regarding a potential altercation unfolding at the location.

Air support was sent to survey the area but found nothing to substantiate the fight report. Regardless, deputies found that hundreds of people had assembled at the park without authorization.

The Moment Gunfire Erupted

Suspect Information

Reports confirmed through law enforcement radio communications established that a Kia vehicle had been detained in Solano County California. Four people were detained.
